Questions before you trust a recommendation
These answers describe the current public release and its limits; they are not promises about features that are not operational yet.
Does Kamin decide who gets hired?
No. Kamin is decision support for the individual. It does not make hiring decisions, block opportunities, or show an uncalibrated Fit percentage.
Where do skills come from?
A course title alone is not enough. Only a reviewed course → learning outcome → capability mapping can create skill evidence. Unmapped courses remain visible without inventing capabilities.
Do you publish accuracy metrics?
Not yet. The methodology page publishes validation Targets, not Results. Precision, recall, and pilot metrics must come from documented evaluation against human review.
Where is public-release data stored?
Locally in the browser. The default is session-only; with explicit consent you can persist the profile in IndexedDB or download an encrypted backup. The public release does not keep a central profile copy.
Do O*NET or ESCO decide whether I fit?
No. ESCO provides semantic identity/interoperability and O*NET provides occupational/market context. External signals do not replace personal evidence or erase a required evidence gap.
Do psychometric instruments affect Fit?
Not currently. Psychometrics remain a separate research track until documented Saudi validation exists. Only structured self-declared preferences act as low-risk context signals.

Who leads Kamin?

Is Kamin officially accredited by a university?
This is a public research release and does not claim university accreditation or adoption. The three-college pilot requires approvals and execution before results are published.
How is Kamin funded?
The public release requires no payment. Institutional licensing is a proposed model for evaluation; no paid packages or commercial partnerships are announced here.
How can I get help?
Open Contact & help. Describe the steps and browser without sending transcripts or personal information.
Must I answer every question?
No. Undecided is valid. Add only what you want to use for pathway exploration, and change your choices whenever needed.
What if I lose my device?
Restore an encrypted backup you exported earlier. Kamin has no central copy to recover without that file and its passphrase.
Does Kamin infer personality from social accounts?
It does not sign into accounts or collect their posts. You can review digital interests you choose to add; these are not used to infer health, politics or sensitive traits.
Does it use generative AI?
Current capabilities are local document reading, semantic inference rules and a knowledge graph. The guide explains evidence and rules; it does not claim to run an external language model.
How will product quality be measured?
The plan includes a three-college field study, real usability tasks, human-reference comparisons and error analysis. No field results have been published yet.
Are my answers sent to analytics?
Usage analytics are disabled in this release. A later study needs a clear purpose, separate consent and appropriate review.
