Kamin complements national skills infrastructure; it does not replace it.
This is both an architecture and market decision: Kamin does not attempt to build a parallel national platform and is not restricted to a single university. Its entry point is a learner-owned university evidence layer designed for future interoperability.

A KAU-only product
King Abdulaziz University can be an excellent pilot environment, but it is not the boundary of the product or data model.
Current government integration
No current API, endorsement, or government partnership is claimed. Any future connection requires an official channel.
Architecture implications
Canonical graphThe Person/Capability graph stays provider-neutral.
Crosswalk layerMappings to SASCED and other frameworks stay in a separate alignment layer rather than being hard-coded into product logic.
API boundaryFuture import/export and integrations go through explicit adapters with provenance and versioning.
Identity boundaryKamin does not require a national identity or central database to deliver its core learner value.
Portable evidenceThe encrypted local profile preserves learner ownership and makes future integration optional rather than mandatory.
Market path
Beachhead: final-year students and recent graduates through a defined university or program. The university is the first B2B2C channel, followed by Employer-Lite. If an official national integration path becomes available later, Kamin remains an evidence/explainability provider rather than a substitute for national infrastructure.
